It is possible to follow these events, which are left behind by Islamic sources, from Armenian sources. In fact, there are scarcely any information in Islamic sources about the conquests, economic activities or relations with the peoples of the region that the Sajid dynasty made in the region, except for the supersession or the appointment of the rulers to the region. However, the events of this period, which are important for both Abbasids and Turks, do not take place in Muslim chronicles commensurately. Especially, Sajid dynasty, which established an independent Azerbaijani state and extended its domain to the Van Lake and Kars, became an important turning point of the Caucasus Turkism. It is very important period in terms of Turkish-Armenian relations that the South Caucasus, which Muslims organized more frequent invasions following the conquer of Iran by Muslims, was started to be ruled by Muslim-Turkish rulers.
